Microsoft Clarity AI agents — what it means for your business

“In a recent Microsoft Clarity analysis, weekly sessions from AI agents nearly doubled in three weeks to almost 2 million.”

— Nabil Naghdy, Microsoft Clarity Blog

What happened

Microsoft Clarity added new AI agent tools on November 4, 2026, giving website owners a way to see which AI agents visit their site, test whether those agents can finish tasks, and get products and services surfaced in Microsoft’s AI experiences. The update to Microsoft Clarity, the company’s free website analytics tool, brings three pieces: Agentic Analytics, an expansion of Brand Agents, and a conversational feature called Ask Clarity.

Agentic Analytics includes an Agent Activity dashboard that shows how agent traffic changes over time, which AI agents arrive, and what they do next, such as searching, submitting forms, booking appointments or checking out. Microsoft says supported agents currently include those from Google, OpenAI and Anthropic. A companion feature, simulation assessments, tests how well agents can complete important tasks on your website and shows completion, time taken and where the experience breaks down. Microsoft is starting with commerce and travel scenarios.

How Microsoft Clarity Brand Agents work for stores and local businesses

Brand Agents is Microsoft’s AI shopping assistant for a business’s own website, grounded in its product catalog and policies. With this update, Microsoft says products from eligible WooCommerce and Shopify merchants can appear across Microsoft Copilot, Bing, MSN and more, with shoppers completing the purchase on the merchant’s site. Merchants who already run Brand Agents don’t need to upload a catalog again.

Microsoft is also expanding Brand Agents to local businesses. In that version, the assistant helps visitors find the right service and book it, connecting to tools such as Square, Jobber, HubSpot, Calendly, Housecall Pro and Salesforce. Microsoft says eligible WordPress businesses can get started now. Ask Clarity, which answers plain-language questions about how people use your site, is in closed beta for retailers, with a waitlist for others. Microsoft did not spell out the exact eligibility rules or pricing for every feature, though Clarity itself remains free.

FuzeForth’s take

This is one of the clearest signs yet that “visitors” to your website are no longer only people. AI assistants are starting to browse, compare and book on behalf of customers, and until now most small businesses had no way to see that traffic, let alone check whether their site works for it. If an agent can’t find your booking button or gets stuck at checkout, you may lose the sale without ever knowing it happened.

The businesses that should pay closest attention are online stores on Shopify or WooCommerce, and appointment-driven local businesses such as home services, clinics, salons and professional firms. For stores, getting products in front of shoppers in Copilot and Bing is a new, low-effort discovery channel alongside Google. For local businesses, an assistant that ties into the scheduling tools many already use could turn more after-hours visits into booked jobs.

Our advice: if Clarity isn’t on your site yet, it’s a quick install, and the Agent Activity view alone will show whether AI agents are already visiting. Run a simulation on your most important task, whether that’s checkout, a quote request or a booking, and fix what breaks. Then treat this as part of a wider AI search optimization plan, because being readable by agents increasingly decides whether you get recommended.
